KITCHEN HAND – POULTNEY PUB

Do you have an interest in food? Are you eager to learn and grow within a passionate team of culinary professionals? Ready to bust suds, help keep the kitchen running smoothly and assist with prep work?

We're looking for a motivated Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team at Poultney Pub. The ideal candidate will be reliable and focused, work with a sense of urgency and thrive working as a part of a team.

In this entry-level, part-time role, you'll gain valuable experience in all aspects of kitchen operations, from prepping ingredients and assisting with food assembly to maintaining a clean and organized workspace. 

Duties & responsibilities include:

  • Washing, stacking, and storing dishes and cookware 

  • Maintaining order and cleanliness of the kitchen, food preparation areas

  • Cleaning general utensils and kitchen equipment

  • Assembling and preparing food ingredients for cooking

  • Restocking kitchen supplies and maintaining equipment as needed

  • Weighing, transferring, checking and storing food ingredients

  • Additional duties as assigned 

  • Hours & scheduling:
    Starting shifts will be scheduled for Tuesday-Friday evenings. As you grow with us, there may be opportunity for additional hours and advancement within our kitchen team.

To be considered for this position applicants must:

  • Have access to reliable transportation

  • Be capable of following directions and work independently

  • Have the ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Have the ability to work in a hot and noisy environment

  • Be available to work as late as 11pm
