KITCHEN CREW MEMBER – POULTNEY PUB

Ready to get hands-on experience and gain valuable skills? We're looking for a motivated Kitchen Crew Member to help us keep the back of house running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to gain experience in a fast-paced kitchen, including students looking for a part-time job that offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to learn.

In this entry-level, part-time role, you'll gain valuable experience in all aspects of kitchen operations, from prepping ingredients and assisting with food assembly to maintaining a clean and organized workspace. If you're reliable, a team player, and ready to learn, you'll fit right in with our team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Wash Dishes and Equipment: You'll be responsible for washing, sanitizing, and storing all dishes, cookware, and utensils to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

  • Assist with Food Prep: Help the kitchen crew with basic tasks like weighing, preparing, and assembling food ingredients.

  • Maintain a Clean Kitchen: Keep the workspace and food prep areas clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.

  • Support the Team: Take on additional tasks as needed to assist the kitchen staff.

HOURS & SCHEDULE:

  • This role offers part time hours to start.

  • Friday and Saturday evening shifts are our most critical scheduling needs. 

  • There is potential for more weekday hours or a full-time position as you grow with our team, along with opportunities for additional training and advancement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have access to reliable transportation

  • Be capable of following directions and work independently

  • Have the ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Have the ability to work in a hot and noisy environment

  • Be available to work Fridays and Saturdays, as late as 11pm

Located at the intersection of Main Street and the D&H Rail Trail, our pub is the Stone Valley’s spot to gather for local food and libations. The restaurant offers a casual, inviting atmosphere to enjoy rustic pub-fare, creative cocktails, regional craft brews and live tunes.
